Paul Jones, born Paul Pond on 24th February 1942, is an English singer, actor, harmonica player, radio presenter and televison personality.


He started his music career by performing duets with Elmo Lewis (better known as Brian Jones), After singing with Mick Jagger, Long John Baldry and Alexis Korner he was invited by Brian Jones and Keith Richards to be the lead singer in a new group that they were forming. Paul turned them down and Mick Jagger then took the role. The band was 'The Rolling Stones'.


He did however join 'Manfred Mann' as lead vocalist and sang on several Top 10 hits. He went on to found 'The Blues Band' with whom he still singing today
