Sir Elton Hercules John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in Pinner, Middlesex, England is a legendary singer-songwriter, musican and composer.
Elton has sold over 300 million records during his 5-decade career, a fact that makes him one of the best-selling music artists in the world.
He has had more than 50 Top 40 hits including his tribute to Prices Diana entitled "Candle in the Wind" which sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best selling single in the history of the UK and USA singles charts.
His awards are almost too numerous to mention and include 5 Grammies, 5 Brit Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Tony Award. He was made a Knight Bachelor by Queen Elizabeth II for services to music and for charitable services.
